**Robert Half** is currently recruiting an **Accounting Manager** for an international provider of logistics and maritime services based in the port of Antwerp.
Our client's **head office is located in Antwerp** and its main activities are international shipping, customs, distribution management and line agency.
The **main accountabilities** for this job include:
- You will report to the consolidation manager;
- You are managing the accounting team of 5 people;
- You complete the A-Z accounting processes according to the guidelines within the group (BE GAAP) from booking ACF and banks to timely delivery of monthly closings;
- You prepare annual accounts and related financial statements, VAT returns and statistics NBB;
- You contribute to tax planning;
- You prepare financial reports and analyses for the BoD;
- You participate in the annual audit and provide requested documentation;
- You ensure a good follow up of cash planning and specifically working capital planning, including monitoring of AP payments and collection of AR in order to achieve continuous improvement of DPO / DSO;
- You participate in drawing up budgets and subsequently good budget management with timely reporting of deviations.
The **requested qualifications** for this job include:
- You obtained a bachelor or master's degree in accountancy - taxation;
- Five to ten years of work experience provided you a solid knowledge of accounting principles and processes;
- You have management experience and strong analytical skills;
- You have a strong interest and are successful in optimizing processes, allowing them to run smoothly and providing good documentation;
- You work in a structured and accurate way;
- You are a team player, experience in leading a small team is a plus;
- Your good communication skills support relationships with your internal customers;
- You have a good knowledge of MS Office tools and particularly Excel and you have a general experience in IT and are eager to join your colleagues in further digitization projects. Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is a plus;
- Knowledge of Exact as an accounting package is a plus, but not a requirement;
- Language skills: Business proficiency in English is mandatory.
