Sourcing & Buying Planner
Seeking a new challenge in an industry leader of the branded merchandising world? Are you detail-oriented and client-focused? Want the possibility of hybrid working? You might be our next Sourcing & Buying planner (SBP).
As an SPB’er, you’ll be wearing many hats. Reporting to our Purchase director, and working closely with our Account Manager, you must follow up with assigned clients, and steward the creation of presentations, proposals, and samples according to clients’ needs and requirements.
Additionally, you’ll also initiate the job production and supervise the process of order confirmation. It will be your responsibility, along with the Account Manager, that our clients are fully satisfied.
What will you do as an Sourcing & Buying planner?
- Source products & ideas for our Account Manager and/or clients.
- Manage the price requests sent to suppliers (comparison of offers, selection of products offering the best quality/price ratio, etc.).
- Send quotes to our Account Manager and/or clients directly, as well as carry out the appropriate follow-up.
- Coordinate basic presentations for our Account Manager and/or clients directly with the Graphic Design team as well as ensure that important presentations and artworks are produced according to the clients’ brand guidelines, and within the agreed time frame.
- Manage customer/Account Manager’s complaints by swiftly looking into problems and efficiently developing solutions.
- You must issue purchase orders and manage orders from different suppliers and ensure that these orders comply with the company’s procedures.
- Follow up on general procedures with the suppliers, carriers and warehouses until final delivery, including requesting a pre-production sample (if needed).
- You must ensure that deliveries are made within the agreed time frame, as well as inform clients on these deliveries.
- Provide the Accounting Department with the fully completed job card for down payment and/or the final payment.
- Check that suppliers’ artwork has been received and approved by the client.
- You must also check that suppliers’ invoices match with our purchase orders.

What are your qualifications and skills?
- You are fluent in English. Dutch and/or French required.
- You are client focused and are devoted to excellent customer service.
- You have prior knowledge of printing techniques and the têxtile industry.
- You are quality oriented and always seek a high-quality output.
- You are a time-management wiz, and exercise conscious control over the amount of time you spend on each task (depending on priority).
