**Company**
POLITICO is looking for a motivated Financial Planning Analyst to join its dynamic Finance team. The position is a full-time job-based at POLITICO Europe HQ in Brussels.
**What You’ll Do**:
In this role, you’ll collaborate with senior members of the Accounting and Finance team and with the Executive team, and you'll be utilizing your technical expertise to provide the following tasks:
**Budgeting / Forecasting**
- Participate in:
- Participate in the preparation of annual Baseline Budgets / Plans
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly rolling forecasts
- Participated in the preparation of Budgets / Plans linked to expansion projects (new product, new market, )
- Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts
- Develop financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives
**Special projects**
- Assisting in process optimization: implementation of Budgeting and Forecasting software’s / tools
**What You’ll Need**:
- Master degree in Corporate Finance, Accounting, or Economics; or commensurate with experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in a subscriptions business evolving in an international environment
- Demonstrates excellent financial and quantitative skills
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Ability in financial modelling (revenues & costs)
- Ability to analyze financial figures and respect deadlines
- Good knowledge of Belgian GAAP and familiar with IFRS
- Professional level French and English
- Pro-active, organized, dynamic and accurate
- Team player and ability to work independently
