Chemical Risk Consultant, Liability

We are looking for a Chemical Risk Consultant who can act as a Scientific Advisor within our Allianz Risk Consulting network. Ideally you will be based in Rotterdam, but Antwerp or Paris are also possible. Fluent English with fluency in French, Dutch or Flemish, Italian and/or Spanish would be much appreciated.

**Your Team**
Reporting directly to the Allianz Risk Consulting (ARC) Regional Liability Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing loss control expertise, providing assistance to AGCS Underwriters, the ARC Global Liability team and its clients.

**The Impact You Will Have**
You will be responsible for providing loss control expertise, support and assistance to AGCS and its customers, to assist Allianz underwriting teams around the world in liability exposure analysis, risk selection and retention in industries, with a focus on chemicals.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include

Conduct desk-top-reviews, risk dialogues

Conduct on-site engineering visits to the facilities of existing and prospective clients, providing scientific insights in chemical risks

Establish and enhance professional working relationships with colleagues in Underwriting, Distribution and Claims, as well as with our clients and brokers

Provide risk improvement consultancy services to AGCS’ large corporate clients across Europe

Act as point of contact for chemical liability risks, involving the appraisal and development of liability loss control products on existing and emerging chemical risks and providing presentations and information when required

Continuously improve technical skills and expertise in the Liability area, becoming an Expert who can support various sublines and support the Global team with your expertise

**What You’ll Bring to the Role**

We'd like to find an experienced Chemical Engineer who has 7-10 years of professional experience in the Chemical, Manufacturing or Oil and Gas industries. If you have the following, we would like to hear from you:
Proven experience working in risk management processes of chemical products’ R&D, development, manufacturing and safety

Knowledge of quality control and risk assessment methods

Knowledge of the regulatory and legislative systems in relevant markets

Solution-oriented risk consulting skills

Strong communication skills (spoken and written) in English & 2 of the following languages: Dutch, French, Italian, Spanish

Excellent team spirit and the will to learn and share knowledge

Strong digital and data analytical skills with an understanding of design, deployment, implementation and change management of new technologies and standards

Ideally you are familiar with quality assurance and risk management systems and tools: SWOT Analysis, FMEA, ISO 9000 standard, Six Sigma methodology
