**Function**: Sr Clerck

Reports to the Head of Procurement in Amsterdam

Works with the Procurement team in Amsterdam and a Buyer in Brussels.

**Objectives**:
As Operational Buyer you take care of placing orders for goods and services in function of the requests from the organization. You are in regular contact with suppliers at home and abroad, you follow up the (timely) delivery and you take care of the administrative follow-up in SAP. You work closely with the other employees of the purchasing department and the various departments within the organization are your internal customers; you support them with requests for offers and/or tender procedures for operational purchasing needs, compare and assess offers and/or tenders, advise your clients on this and prepare the decision for operational purchasing.

You will also be responsible for:

- Supporting the implementation of operational supplier management, measuring regarding supplier performance (in accordance with contract) and providing data on this
- Analysis and handling of complaints
- Administrative processing of supplier communications (vendor notifications)
- Contract management
- Support with adjustments of the article database
- For this position, in addition to the existing team, we are looking for a colleague with several years of experience in a similar function (preferably in the pharmaceutical or related sector) who has the capabilities and ambition to take on a higher level of responsibility within a few years.

You will be trained on the job and made familiar with the specific requirements of the organization.

**Profile**
- You have a Bachelor degree (preferably: logistics management, purchasing, administration...)
- You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar function, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.
- You are fluent in MS Office (certainly Excel) and SAP;
- You can express yourself fluently in Dutch and French and you have a good knowledge of English (both spoken and written);
- Knowledge of quality systems and European and American GMP guidelines (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) is an asset;
- You are a team player with strong communication skills;
- You are flexible and can handle routine tasks;
- You are eager to learn and actively work on your own development;
- You can travel to Amsterdam on a regular basis to ensure close collaboration with the team.
