**The Role**:

- Develop the data architecture together with Data Governance team and information architecture, according to domain-driven design principles.
- Define storage architectures including data models, schema's & hierarchical namespaces for structured, semi-structured and unstructured data, during the complete data lifecycle, in a secure, compliant, performant and cost efficient way
- Create and maintain data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and other documentation
- Strive for technological excellence, leveraging modern technologies and concepts
- Collaborate with other stakeholders (eg. business, IT,...) across the organization to understand data requirements and develop data solutions that meet their needs.
- Design architecture that are able to implement data management processes, including data security, quality and overall data governance standards.
- Monitor and maintain data systems and processes to ensure they are performing optimally.
- Ensure that our data architecture is secure, compliant with regulations, and adheres to our organization's data privacy policies.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in data architecture and data management, and make recommendations on how to incorporate them into our organization's practices.

**What we expect of you**:

- Master in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, data quality, and data security best practices (DAMA-DMBOK)
- Experience in domain-driven design and data mesh concepts
- Experience with data integration patterns and data migration tools
- Experience with cloud-based data storage and management solutions (eg. Azure)
- Experience with data modeling tools and SQL
- Experience with data in low/no-code platforms
- You have very strong analytical skills
- You are able to deal with incomplete information and are able to assess related risk
- You have strong communication skills
- You have an excellent level of English
- You are customer oriented, enthusiastic, and professional.
- You have a proactive attitude and always strive for continuous improvement.
- You can cooperate with different levels in the organization, with different people and cultures.
- You are a real team player, able to motivate people.
- You are willing to travel occasionally.

You will join a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary and international team in a challenging and very dynamic environment. You will become part of CT-IS Architecture team(Compressor Technique - Information Services), which delivers services to the Compressor Technique business area of Atlas Copco. The department mainly operates from the headquarters in Antwerp (Belgium), with teams in US, Czech Republic, India, and China.
