**Work environment**

The Structural Engineering team is part of the URBAN team of Tractebel. The team is involved in a wide range of projects, in collaboration with the other entities of Tractebel, both in Belgium and internationally. The services cover the entire life span of structures and are mainly: feasibility studies, FEED, basic engineering, detailed engineering, owner’s engineering, site management & supervision, etc. The Structural Engineering team consists of about 85 people (Experts, Lead Engineers, Design Engineers, BIM coordinators & Modelers) in Belgium and 15 people (Design Engineers and Modelers) in Romania.

The organization of our Competence Center will be adapted to a product-oriented organization with the ambition to be a reliable solution provider for the different product lines and the aim to further optimize our efficiency and create synergies between current teams. The objective is to improve the project performance, enable growth and better able to manage the big and complex projects in our portfolio (e.g. Oosterweel).

For this reason, we are looking for a Team Leader INFRA/ PWW for our Competence Center.

**Mission***

The Team Leader INFRA/PWW will drive the team with the ambition as stated above. His/her mission is to:

- To develop and implement a strategic vision in line with the strategy of INFRA / PWW products and to seek out avenues for future development of the team through recruitment, innovation, development of new technologies; To do so, you are actively building a strong collaboration with the INFRA / PWW products;
- To develop the Competence Center in Belgium and Romania in line with needs and expectations of the INFRA / PWW products, and if needed seek for further assistance and collaboration with other entities (eg. Tractebel France) or potential partners or subcontractors;
- To achieve technical, qualitative and financial performance in the projects of the portfolio: quality, planning, financial performance, risk management, client satisfaction ;
- To support the sales activities of the products;
- To participate to Business reviews for INFRA / PWW as SPOC for Structure
- To manage and control overheads costs for the team
- To manage a team (~35 engineers) spread over 4 locations in Belgium (Brussels, Namur, Ghent, Hasselt) and Romania.

- To plan the resources of the team according to the expertise, availabilities and project requirements, together with the Urban Product (including allocation for BD&S & tenders)
- To make QHSE and ethics concerns a top priority
- To be part of the Management Committee of the Competence Center;
- To participate to the Management Committees of the INFRA/PWW products, with the aim to boost collaboration and build trust.

**Profile**
- You have a Master Degree in Engineering or equivalent;
- You have an overall technical knowledge in (preferably) Structural Engineering related to transport and maritime infrastructures
- You have minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar position or in management of large projects;
- You have strong communication and leadership skills and are able to discuss at technical & managerial level;
- You are empathic in order to lead and motivate the different teams in Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia, to do projects in Belgium and abroad with a focus on quality and profitability in line with the internal and external customer’s needs;
- You have a dynamic personality, are well organized and can work independently;
- You have a strong cooperative mind-set and show openness towards other products and teams;
- You are a team player, stimulate innovative and creative solutions and you have negotiating skills;
- You have an good knowledge of Dutch, French and English;
- You are willing to visit frequently all sites of Structural Engineering in Belgium and to short missions abroad ( 3 times a year in France & Romania)
