**About**: Are you interested in working with **cutting-edge sillicon photonics technology**? We’re VeroTech, a Belgian engineering consultancy company specialized in R&D projects, currently looking for talented engineers.
**Your mission**:
As a **Photonic Design Engineer**, you will play a pivotal role in the **development of next-generation photonic solutions **in a **start-up environment**. Your main responsibilities are:

- ** Design and optimize silicon photonic devices**, including passive and active elements like WDM Mux/Demux, modulators, and couplers.
- ** Establish and manage a** **testing platform** to support development and ensure rigorous **data analysis in collaboration with testing engineers**.
- Work closely with optical engineers and fabrication facilities to **deliver complete and coherent photonic solutions**.
- ** Lead R&D efforts**, converting customer requirements into system concepts and photonic architectures.
- ** Stay updated with industry trends** to enhance existing platforms and explore new technological opportunities.

**Your profile**:

- A **master's degree **or higher** in Optoelectronics, Photonics, Physics, Electrical Engineering **(or a arelated field)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant industrial experience with **photonic modeling and RF simulation software (Lumerical, HFSS, Comsol)**:

- Good programming skills **(Python) **and** layout **tools **(Luceda, Klayout, L-edit)**:

- ** Strong communication **skills
- Fluent in **English**
