**Your responsibilities**:
- Creating new functionalities
- Lead the technical design and implementation of our platform
- Define target architecture for new features
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and meet performance requirements
- Work with the product team and stakeholders to define technical requirements
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that meet business needs
- Participate in code reviews to ensure high code quality and adherence to coding standards
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the team
**Your skills and qualifications**:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in any of the following technologies: Java, Spring Boot framework, NodeJS, designing and implementing RESTful API’s, DevOps practices and tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Docker)
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Firebase is a must
- Able to review UI designs and to discuss the impacts something might have on our platform
- Strong communication skills with a growth and learning mindset
- Fluent in English. French or Dutch is a plus
We prefer to have someone on site in Brussels twice a week. You definitely need to work during Belgian office hours and physical presence in the office is required on a regular basis.
