**Short description**:
You will be responsible for the development/execution/leadership and follow-up of all types of capital expenditure projects and investments for the terminals of Euroports Belgium, mainly the Belgian branches.

**Scope**:
Mainly : new capital costs (design and model, reporting)

Secondary : support replacement, capital costs for repairs

**Accountabilities**:
**Primary responsibilities**

Design, follow-up, and control of project progress:

- Discuss the layout and necessary or desired specifications in cooperation with other related departments such as the operational and commercial departments, controlling, suppliers, etc. (stakeholders)
- Development of designs including all required technical specifications and requirements to meet market demand
- Point of contact for - if needed - consultancy or external engineering firms for civil or other construction work
- Develop, follow up and ensure maximum governance of RFI/FRQs including bid reviews with alignment of all stakeholders
- Conclusion of contracts with selected partners within the approval matrix: scope, price, deadline guarantees, etc.
- Construction: follow-up of projects in progress, including control of the budget (amount, deadline, etc)
- Receipt and completion of the project, including collection of all types of documents and technical documentation

**Secondary responsibilities**
- Additional work in the area of maintenance management
- Support replacement and/or capital cost projects
- Generating and adapting all types of drawings in AutoCAD for all types of purposes (not all related to projects)

- Developing capital cost solutions in line with market requirements and needs in consultation with the operational and commercial departments, QHSE.

Decision making
- (co) decide on design footprints RFI’s/RFQ’s, partners and actions to close capital cost projects in accordance with approval matrix
- (co) decide on actions required to ensure execution within certain scenarios (time, financial, design, etc) in accordance with the approved scenario and/or the approval matrix

**Competences**

Necessary
- Engineering-based education, terminal experience (operational and technical)
- Dutch and English
- Software : MS Office and AutoCAD
- Microsoft Project

- Practical, execution driven with a ‘can do’ mentality
- Social : able to work and talk with people working in different fields (operational and commercial departments, finance and controlling departments, QHSE, etc.)
- Basic financial knowledge
