Role Overview

**We are looking for**:
**Job overview and Responsibilities**
The principal role of the Value Management Analyst is to support the organization of the
value capture initiatives across the Materials GBU. The role holder will be an emerging
leader and help diffuse leading class value capture disciplines. Working as a key
contributor to the Value Management Team, this role serves as a program and project
manager and supports the delivery of profit improvement across the GBU. The role
holder will achieve mastery on competitive differential value tools and methods and
become a power user of price optimization tools. The role holder is expected to become
an expert of the core value management and data analytics tools which underpin
Solvay’s price and value capabilities.

**Role & Responsibilities**
- Support the execution of assigned value capture initiatives and large deal

negotiations. Provide analytical support and assistance to the Value & Contract
- Management Team as well as Cluster commercial teams- Provide analytical support to all phases of pricing initiatives based on cost

evolution and periodic analysis of price dispersion, execute them aligning
- target potential with the different GBU stakeholders (Product & Asset
- Management, Market Cluster, Marketing) and monitor realization leveraging
- the existing tracking systems- Develop expertise in pricing and value management skills/competencies and

emerge as a power user across the GBU

**Required education & experience**
- Bachelor degree in scientific studies.
- 2-3 years of prior experience in a similar role, ideally including exposure to

implementing pricing processes and delivering pricing initiatives

**Required skills**
- Demonstrate strong quantitative skills and bias. Demonstrated experience and

expertise leveraging data and analytics to deliver significant outcomes. Prior- analytics, scientific segmentation and/or pricing science.
- Have strong analytical skills, comfortable dealing with numerical data, have

strong attention to detail, and be able to prepare support packages, including
fact findings
- Have the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Life long

learner, with yearning to make an impact
- Master Google suite and/or Microsoft Office packages and have knowledge of

CRM tools (eg. Salesforce, other database) as a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on and complete critical projects

that have a significant impact on the business
- Shows intellectual curiosity to learn pricing strategies and advanced data

analytics solutions focused on price and profit capture.
- Is a power user of a portfolio of data analytics solutions.
- Proficient in English with the ability to write and influence senior level

executives internally and externally
