If so, being a Category Manager at Perrigo Belgium might be your next career challenge Join our team and help us achieve our goals The function of Category Manager is part of the Customer Strategy & Implementation (CSI) department and will report directly into the Head of CSI.
**Scope of the Role**:
You develop winning selling concepts, activation plans and toolbox materials for the dedicated brands and this in all relevant sales channels (a broad mix of different types of clients: pharmacists, retailers and e-commerce). You refine the channel strategies into winning concepts at customer level and/or store level working on our lifestyle and dermo cosmetic brands, amongst others, Compeed, XLS Medical and Dermalex.
In close collaboration with marketing and sales, you build activity plans allowing the sales organization to maximize sell out through effective distribution, instore visibility and recommendation by the customer. It is your ambition and goal to score above market average on these key performance indicators.
As Category Manager, you own the following sales fundamentals:
- Product portfolio by channel and/or customer: define core range per brand, facings,
- Customer pricing strategy
- Commercial policy and Trade terms: discounts, volumes,
- Promotion strategy: promo planning, ROI,
The Category Manager is responsible for developing a customer toolbox including a digital sales aid for use by the pharmacy sales team as well as attractive concept sells for our key accounts to visit our customers with market, category & brand insights. You work in close collaboration with our Instore marketeer, responsible for the development of Point of Sales Materials in all relevant channels, e.g. online banners, displays, communication on shelf. You act as an important interface and process owner between brand managers, key account managers and field sales district managers. You own the typical trade marketing processes and act upon every day. You are an active participant to the business team meetings. You are externally focused and will provide support to the key account managers during customer visits on a need basis.
You optimize and maximize the development of selling concepts and tools based on sell-out data, consumer insights and customer feedback. You are the voice of our customers in our internal organization. You like to fight for winning: identify short term opportunities and threats and turn them into action plans that make Perrigo Belgium win faster in the market. You build the yearly budget objectives on volume, net sales and promotional investment for your dedicated brands, by channel and in line with the total Perrigo Belgium objectives and guidance.
**Experience Required**:
- Master degree
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a category management, trade marketing or marketing role, ideally in the OTC pharma or FMCG industry
- You have a hands-on, entrepreunerial spirit and a can-do attitude
- You are a teamplayer, enjoying to work in close collaboration with your marketing and sales colleagues and cross functional with all Perrigo departments
- You love to be involved in different brands, categories and customers, an interesting and challenging mix
- You like to crunch numbers, to follow up on your brands and categories and take fact-based decisions
- You’re passionate to create interesting sales stories based on category data to support our key account managers and sales representatives
- You have a digital mindset and you’re willing to experiment in a fast-paced environment
- This role requires a strong level of leadership regarding the business and the organization
- Creating a sense of urgency and accountability in delivering objectives to reach the full potential for your brands
- You’re a natural communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Languages: fluent in Dutch, French and English.
