Job Description
ARHS Developments is looking for an experienced Streaming System Administrator with Unix admin experience to strengthen the infrastructure teams of one of its clients.
**Context of the project**
- Specific audiovisual infrastructure and surrounding processes, like audiovisual devices, audiovisual network, audio-logging, multilingual streaming or digital signage. These processes often depend on hardware requiring physical links to specific audio and video systems
**Role & Responsibilities**
- Provision of expert advice and assistance in the area of administration of specific audiovisual IT infrastructures, systems and services, such as audio and video encoders, streamers, display announcement systems, conference control systems and audiovisual devices.
- Technology watch, evaluation studies, architectural considerations, applicable standards, solution patterns and best practices in the specific area of audiovisual ICT interoperability
- Expert advice on the architectural design of a networking topology for the transport of audiovisual content over IP networks, e.g. WOWZA, Dante, multi-casting, CDN,
- Provision of quality plans, quality assessments, quality control tests, evaluations and service level agreements associated with ICT and audiovisual systems
- Provision of security studies, security assessments and other specific security matters related to audiovisual ICT infrastructures
- Advise in the audiovisual IT areas such as capacity management, contingency planning, service continuity management, automation of repetitive tasks & security
- Participate in defining and documenting configuration of systems & infrastructure
- Participate in defining and documenting operational procedures
- Participate in architectural design/reviews
- Evaluation and implementation of security standards
- Security administration and monitoring, in adherence to the imposed security rules under supervision of the LISO (Local Information Security Officer)
- Participation in coordination and project meetings
- About 75% of the tasks are related to specific streaming audiovisual IT activities and 25% of more generic IT activities
Qualifications
**Your profile**
- University degree or equivalent by experience
- Expert knowledge of ICT systems, specifically Linux (RedHat), network and audiovisual (IT based) infrastructure management
- Capability to acquire or extend audiovisual knowledge
- Capability to acquire or extend the expert knowledge on streaming solutions
- Capability to write clear and structured technical documents for different sorts of profiles (experts as to non-technical)
- Good communication skills in English and French
- Ability to participate in multilingual meetings & very good communication skills
- Capability of working in an international/multicultural environment
