**CONTEXT/INTRODUCTION**

In order to fulfil its duties, the Operations Unit of the Security Directorate of DG HR has decided to request the assistance of an Intra-Muros consultant.

**DESCRIPTION OF TASKS**

The main task will be to contribute to Information Systems projects, under the direct supervision of HR.DS.2 officials.
- Integration of user-facing elements with server side logic.
- Implement core business logic.
- Creation of servers and databases for functionality.
- Design and implementation of data storage solutions.
- Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
- Design, develop and work with APIs.
- Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.
- Maintenance of code integrity and organisation.
- Writing clean, functional code on the back-end.
- Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
- Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
- Write technical documentation.

These tasks require skills in the following fields:

- Proficiency with back-end languages and frameworks such as Java, PHP/HTML, PYTHON.
- Proficiency in AI learning process (fine-tuning) especially in offline environment.
- Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools.
- Familiarity with database technology.
- Knowledge of code versioning tools such as GIT.
- Knowledge of Web and network infrastructure including VPN.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and docker technologies.
- Good understanding of IT security requirements and EC policies is required
- Notions on usage of social media.
