Thales Belgium SA, Belgium competence center of Thales, is a company located on 2 sites, one in Tubize (near Brussels) and the other one in Herstal (near Liège). Thales Belgium, which employs more than 280 collaborators, is specialized in the design, development and supply of critical information systems for customers in the sectors of Defense, Security (including Cyber) and Aerospace.

***Mission**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented intern to join our team, focusing on the implementation of post-quantum key encapsulation mechanisms and signatures. This is an exciting opportunity to delve into the cutting-edge field of quantum-resistant cryptography, contributing to the development of secure systems in the quantum computing era.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the design and implementation of post-quantum key encapsulation mechanisms and signature schemes.
- Conduct research on the latest advancements in quantum-resistant cryptographic implementations.
- Collaborate with our team to integrate these mechanisms into existing systems.
- Test and evaluate the security and efficiency of the implemented mechanisms.
- Document the development process and results, contributing to technical reports and presentations
**Profile**:
General profile of the student: Master/Bachelor in Security/Software/Telecom/ Electrical Engineer:
- Strong understanding of cryptography, particularly post-quantum cryptography.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
- Familiarity with cryptographic libraries and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
