SAN is recruiting for an **Institutional Relations Coordinator,** who will be accountable for creating and executing against a long-term roadmap for sustainable agricultural innovations. As part of this, she/he will be accountable for managing new business activities and strategies for SAN. She/he will provide technical guidance for the design and delivery of competitive proposals that drive integrated solutions that balance the social, environmental, and economic opportunities for project beneficiaries.
**Responsibilities**
Work closely with the Institutional Relations Manager to build and manage the pipeline of new business opportunities to achieve annual targets and long-term growth. This will involve the following:
- Research, analyze, and plan for new funding opportunities, competitive intelligence, and SAN’s competitive positioning on a continuous basis within the marketplace in collaboration technical team.
- Identify short and longer-term opportunities for SAN’s innovative solutions.
- Work with SAN’s technical team and partners to conceptualize and design sound technical approaches for new funding opportunities.
- Lead the proposal development process on select opportunities. This includes forming and managing proposal teams, as well as ensuring compliance with SAN and donor requirements and working with Corporate Services on the recruitment of key personnel.
- Develop institutional relations with potential programmatic partners and coordinate teaming agreements, memoranda of understanding, and other institutional agreements with partners.
- Participate in cross-divisional program/project planning, implementation, and proposal development.
**Position Requirements**
- Graduate degree in International Development, Finance, Economics, or other relevant fields.
- Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in international development, new business, or comparable experience required.
- Familiarity with program cycle management tools and method, including logframes.
- Understanding of sustainable agriculture and international development issues.
- Fluency in English required, both written and oral, additionally Spanish language skills highly desired;
- Proven organizational skills, with the ability to undertake multiple tasks under tight deadlines;
- Effective program management and strategic thinking skills that are reflected in effective prioritization and execution.
- High level of communication and collaboration skills; with an ability to influence others without authority, work in a networked organization, and deliver results with diverse partners.
- Availability to travel internationally up to 30% of the time.
