The Delivery Owner is one of the Feature Activities that is active during the whole lifecycle of the Feature as from the start of the refinement until the acceptance of the Feature into Production Is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a Feature Will orchestrate and follow up on all the delivery related activities for the Feature Is part of the Team in the lead (Squad or Tribe) for the Feature (contributing teams are teams that will contribute with one or more Stories or Service Requests to a Feature managed by another Team).
**Goals & Responsibilities**:
**Depending on the feature it can be fulfilled by**:
for complex Feature (e.g., with multi-squad or multi-tribe impacts), this role will mostly be performed by the Tribe Scrum Master (could also be the one for the cluster if that exists in the tribe)
for simple or mono team Feature, it will be mostly the Scrum Master (SM) to execute the activity
**Activities**:
Coordinates the effort sizing activities for the feature and ensures estimates are complete covering all activities required to deliver the feature (quantifiable efforts i.e., Man Days)
Defines the delivery forecast plan for the feature by assessing the contributing squad's available capacity and the effort of the already prioritised features in their backlog (the forecast pipeline)
Defines the margin of time buffer in the forecast plan by assessing the complexity of the feature (e.g., dependencies between a number of squads) and the level of instability in the pipeline of the squads
Ensures the feature forecast plan is aligned with all necessary stakeholders, capturing the internal and external delivery timeline requirements and internal integration plans (e.g., integration test phases milestones).
Orchestrates and follows up on the delivery activities of a Feature with the contributing tribes and squads during the execution of the feature.
Maintains an end-to-end view of the delivery of the feature
Communicates on the dimensions of the feature delivery (e.g., the status, the progress, the risks, the effort spending) as input for the tribe ceremonies and management reporting
Manages dependencies between the contributing tribes and squads.
Removes or escalates impediments and risks raised for the feature.???????
Participates to the core ceremonies including Quarterly Planning, Quarterly Review, Quarterly Retrospective and Scrum of Scrum events to follow-up and communicate on the feature evolution.?
