Thales Belgium SA, Belgium competence center of Thales, is a company located on 2 sites, one in Tubize (near Brussels) and the other one in Herstal (near Liège). Thales Belgium, which employs more than 280 collaborators, is specialized in the design, development and supply of critical information systems for customers in the sectors of Defense, Security (including Cyber) and Aerospace.
In this context, we are looking for a:
**Customer Support Technician**
**Mission**:
As Customer Support Technician, you will be a member of the Customer Support & Service of Thales Belgium for Herstal site dealing with weapon systems and ammunition. You will serve both internal and external customers. On one hand, you will deal with various customer support requests like training, technical assistance, investigations or even repairs. Therefore, you will instruct, plan, execute and share the return of experience. On the other hand, you will organize and perform some trials of rocket systems requested by Quality, Engineering and Production Departments. The tests include reception, development and qualification trials of all the subsystem of our 70mm rocket systems. Moreover, you will assure partially the management of the test facilities and propose future investments.
**Main Responsibilities**:
As Customer Support Technician, your main responsibilities will be:
- To support our internal and external customers by providing assistance and expertise
- To provide training courses to our customers worldwide
- To prepare, organize and perform trials or assistance requested by either internal or external stakeholders in Thales Belgium facilities, external facilities and/or on military firing ranges located all over the world
- To be a solution-proposal force to upgrade Thales products and services according to customer feedback
- To coordinate with various stakeholders during firing campaigns abroad for Program and After Sales services
- To elaborate complete test/assistance reports and provide feedback to accumulate experience
- To participate to the global planning of the customer support and service department (including a daily follow-up) and to assure the correct allocation of the necessary test means and facilities.
- To manage test means and propose investment where appropriate
**Profile**:
What makes you the perfect Customer Support Engineer?
- You are graduated in Electro-mechanical or Electronics (Bachelor)
- You are comfortable in elaborating technical documents
- You are curious, hand-on, flexible, pragmatic and customer oriented
- You have knowledge in pyrotechnical products or you are eager to learn more about them
- You have experience in the armed forces or you have an experience in the defense industry or at least you have an interest in it
- You are autonomous and rigorous
- You speak both French and English (German is an asset) and you are willing to travel abroad
