Main responsibilities:
In the field of cold steelmaking, (rolling, continuous galvanisation line, painting, degreasing, annealing furnaces...), the project engineer is in charge of all technical aspects (definition, coordination, interface management, conceptualisation, follow-up of customers and suppliers, coordination of internal and external specialists...) of the realisation of a project. He/she implements the Occupational Health and Safety policy within his/her project and for himself/herself, integrating safety aspects, quality and environmental standards.

The thermal expert manages and monitors projects in the thermal field and more particularly annealing furnaces, cooling elements for galvanisation lines, annealing lines, painting lines, etc.

He/she is responsible for:

- Assuming responsibility for the technical follow-up of the project, from the award of the contract to the commissioning / start-up of the equipment on site.
- Achieving the technical results and performance specified in the contract
- Adhere to the project schedule and planning, minimising associated technical risks
- Manage the design budget and optimise associated costs
- Maintain contact with the client, being the client's main contact for all technical aspects in order to obtain total satisfaction
- Coordinate and plan the studies entrusted to each party: engineering subcontractors, suppliers, consortium partners, internal or external technical team (draughtsmen, designers, specialised engineers, etc.), while guaranteeing compliance with
- technical specifications entrusted to each party
- conditions and specifications agreed with the client
- procedures (ISO 9000, ISO 14000, VCA...) and technical notes
- Be in charge of
- Establishing technical specifications for the purchase of equipment and plant components, support and assistance for the technical comparison of proposals, technical discussions with suppliers, support for contract negotiations
- preparation and follow-up of all technical documentation related to the project
Profile
- Trained as an electromechanical engineer, specialising in energy is an asset.
- Fluency in French, English and possibly other foreign languages
- VCA
- Operational framework, machine directive, machine risk analysis, electrical clearance, ATEX directives
- Experience in project management in a design office/steel company
- Knowledge of project management and engineering techniques
- In-depth knowledge of the following areas of expertise: heating, heat transfer, pressure drop calculations, insulation, piping and instrumentation
- Understanding, reading and analysis of general and detailed drawings, PI&D, flow sheet.
- Knowledge of software such as Autocad, Inventor is an asset
- You are internationally mobile
