- Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Strong correspondence skills, experience organizing computerized filing system and maintaining detailed records and schedules. Advanced knowledge of Outlook computer programs, word processing, spreadsheets is essential. Ability to work independently and handle simultaneous overlapping events and functions, prioritize duties appropriately, and resolve issues under tight deadlines.Considerable tact, diplomacy and poise. Must be able to cultivate and maintain access to high-level contacts.

Three years progressively responsible experience in public relations, protocol, hospitality management or event planning (i.e. international diplomacy or business) and/or experience in an previous administrative role is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Working knowledge of political structures and key officials in various NATO member countries.

Position includes some after-hours work to fulfill duties of position at representational events.

Two years of post-secondary education required.

LANGUAGE: Fluency in English.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to obtain a U.S. Department of State Secret level clearance.

A firm knowledge of computers, word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs is essential.

Ability to work independently and handle simultaneous overlapping events and functions, resolve scheduling problems and prioritize appropriately.

Must be able to assimilate information through reading and first-hand experience for a thorough knowledge of protocol, titles, precedence and etiquette of the host country, NATO countries and USG.

Considerable tact, diplomacy and poise. Must be able to cultivate and maintain access to high-level contacts.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office. The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
