**Onderneming**:
De Belgische Investeringsmaatschappij voor Ontwikkelingslanden NV (“BIO”) is een _development finance institution_ gecontroleerd door de Belgische overheid die het ondersteunen van de privésector in ontwikkelingslanden als missie heeft en dit doet door middel van directe en indirecte (bv. via financiële instellingen en fondsen) investeringen in lokale ondernemingen.
**Functie**:
De Manager Private Equity ziet toe op de coördinatie, het beheer en de controle van het team Private Equity. Je bent de link tussen de managers en de teamleden en je bent de referentie voor de personen onder je verantwoordelijkheid. Deze opdracht wordt uitgevoerd in samenwerking met de CIO. De opdracht heeft als doel de algemene doelstellingen van de vennootschap te bereiken en de boodschap van het topmanagement over te brengen aan de teamleden.
De Manager Private Equity is ook voornamelijk verantwoordelijk voor:
- De identificatie en evaluatie van investeringen in private-equityfondsen die overeenstemmen met BIO’s strategie en rol.
- De nauwe opvolging van een portfolio van een twaalftal fondsen.
- De ontwikkeling van vaardigheden en normen voor directe private-equity-investeringen.
- Een adviesrol voor alle transacties in direct equity.
De manager beheert ook de operationele taken. Het operationele deel kan van meer of minder belang zijn.
**Taken en verantwoordelijkheden**:
De Manager Private Equity is verantwoordelijk voor 2 belangrijke thema’s:
- **Teammanagement**:
- Beheren: doelen vastleggen en resultaten opvolgen, leiden en conceptualiseren:
- Een strategie bepalen op niveau van het team met bepaling van coherente individuele en collectieve doelen;
- Het werk plannen en opvolgen. Indien nodig, corrigerende maatregelen uitvoeren om resultaten te verbeteren en doelen te bereiken;
- Het werk, de efficiëntie en de vaardigheden van het personeel evalueren, in het bijzonder tijdens jaarlijkse evaluatiegesprekken en door SMART-doelen vast te leggen;
- Op tijd en stond gepaste feedback geven.
- Organiseren: het werk verdelen en coördineren:
- De rol van elke persoon kennen en de evolutie van die rol en daaraan verbonden doelen. Op basis daarvan een gepast takenpakket opstellen;
- Interne communicatie met het team invoeren;
- Erop toezien dat de werklast goed verdeeld is binnen het team en mogelijke nood aan extra middelen of aanpassing van het team aankaarten;
- Autonomie, besluitvorming en betrokkenheid aanmoedigen door bepaalde verantwoordelijkheden te delegeren.
- Aanmoedigen: teamleden leiden en mobiliseren om een gezamenlijk doel te bereiken:
- Voortdurende opleiding aansturen om teamleden aan te sporen hun vaardigheden te verbeteren en te ontwikkelen;
- Teamspirit en -cohesie bundelen en ontwikkelen;
- Constructief werken om win-winoplossingen te vinden tijdens onderhandelingen of conflicten.
- Communiceren:
- Het werk voorstellen van het volledige team, zowel intern als extern;
- Feedback geven aan het management op een correcte en gepaste manier;
- Constructieve communicatie en werkrelaties ontwikkelen met andere managers over transversale onderwerpen.
- **Operationele taken**:
- PE-fondsen
- Investeringen in private-equityfondsen identificeren en evalueren in overeenstemming met BIO’s strategie en rol op vlak van financieel rendement, ontwikkelingsimpact en sociale en milieunormen;
- Evaluaties ter plaatse uitvoeren;
- Gedetailleerde analyserapporten voorbereiden en investeringsaanbevelingen formuleren aan BIO’s management en investeringscomité;
- De voorbereiding van juridische documenten organiseren, op basis van interne en externe bronnen;
- Toezicht houden op een portfolio van private-equityfondsen in nauwe samenwerking met de equity portfolio officers.
- Direct Equity
- Als deel van een dealteam: investeringen in equity evalueren, transacties helpen opbouwen en onderhandelen, de voorbereiding van juridische documenten organiseren (op basis van interne en externe bronnen);
- Toezicht houden op enkele investeringen in direct equity in nauwe samenwerking met de equity portfolio officers;
- De investeringen van nabij opvolgen op vlak van prestatie, bestuur, enz.;
- Problemen identificeren en gepaste oplossingen voorstellen;
- Gepaste aanbevelingen geven aan BIO voor alle aandeelhoudersbeslissingen, BIO vertegenwoordigen als aandeelhouder, deelnemen in het bestuur en contact leggen met externe raadsleden aangesteld door BIO;
- Op regelmatige basis verslag uitbrengen.
**Profiel**:
- Hogere opleiding in bedrijfskunde, economie of financiën
- Vaardigheden in direct private equity en corporate finance, analytische vaardigheden
- Relevante werkervaring: minstens 10 jaar in corporate finance, corporate banking of financiële analyse in een bank, een investeringsbedrijf of een auditmaatschappij
- Interesse in ontwikkelingsonderwerpen en ontwikkelingslanden
