Legal Counsel
Goal?
A legal counsel tests whether company documents and procedures comply with company law. He or she ensures that there are no legal inconsistencies in them and that everything complies with laws and regulations.
What will you be doing?
- Drafting and maintaining type contracts with customers, suppliers and subcontractors, keeping up-to-date purchasing and sales conditions and policy documents
- Advising on negotiations, checking and finalizing ad hoc contracts, in consultation with the internal client, taking into account the risks for the company;
- Advising internal customers in connection with tenders, SLAs, compliance statements and disputes;
- Self-treatment and follow-up of escalated complaints, disputed cases, insurance and court files i.s.m. lawyers and bailiffs;
- Tracking proposed regulations impacting the parcel delivery sector and changes to regulations
- Working on compliance projects and implementation within required timeframes
- Assisting in the review of commercial agreements and compliance with regulations
- Handling day-to-day legal matters

What do you need to bring?
- You have a Belgian Master degree in law
- You have 4 to 6 years of in-house experience
- You have excellent knowledge of Dutch and English; French is a plus
- You are a self-starter, pragmatic, hands-on and results-driven
- You have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- You are flexible, capable of working efficiently, and meet project timelines
- You are a team player and also able to work independently
- You enjoy knowledge sharing
