Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced (co-)founder to join our team as a business partner, focusing on building and launching green ventures that tackle pressing environmental issues. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and validating foreign cleantech solutions, negotiating partnerships, developing local go-to-market strategies, and securing initial customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- IDentify & validate foreign cleantech solutions, partners & spot new opportunities in our domains
- Negotiate & sign partnerships with foreign cleantech partners
- Develop a local go-to-market strategy outlining the venture's launch
- Score the first customer(s) through solid sales efforts
- Develop a financial plan (5 year & 12 months) including debt/equity/subsidy mechanisms
- Build clear & comprehensive pitch-decks to onboard the necessary stakeholders such as the cleantech partners, investors, advisors & the investment committee(s)
- Hire leadership teams through extensive recruitment interviews & onboarding
- Support the leadership team of our ventures within some core company functions during the launch such as business development, operations setup, CFO-as-a-service, HR, etc.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Experience as an (co-)founder who has successfully exited a business
- Technical expertise in one of the following domains: Energy Transition, Circular Economy, Bio-sourcing
- Experience & expertise in the sector of buildings & construction
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to easily engage and build rapport with people from various backgrounds & cultures
- A naturally upbeat and positive demeanor that contributes to a welcoming and enjoyable environment
- Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team, supporting and encouraging peers
- Project management experience in managing large & small projects in a professional way
- A hands-on mentality and a pro-active attitude
- Complex problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable with uncertainty & risk that is inherent to venture building
- Languages - Flemish is a must (target market is Flanders) & English
