We are seeking a strategic leader to oversee automation activities, ensuring alignment with good engineering practices and process requirements.
Main Objectives:
- Ensure automation systems align with engineering best practices and manufacturing needs.
- Lead troubleshooting, software improvements, and technical support for automation processes.
- Coordinate and train automation teams to maintain high standards of performance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Challenge process design to ensure alignment between equipment and automation systems.
- Collaborate with Process Engineering to evaluate software implementation strategies.
- Oversee automation integrators and vendor packages during troubleshooting and interventions.
- Lead and train the automation team to ensure expertise and operational efficiency.
- Verify automation deliverables and anticipate cost increases.
- Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and validation activities.
- Modify software, troubleshoot issues, and drive automation improvements.
- Review verification protocols and manage change control processes.
- Organise operator training to ensure seamless system handovers.
- Support and troubleshoot installations to ensure efficient drug substance manufacturing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Automation and/or Bio-Processes within a GMP environment.
- Proven experience in major engineering projects, including risk and mitigation management.
- Leadership skills with experience managing or coordinating technical teams.
- Strong expertise in design, execution, commissioning, and validation of automation systems.
- Ability to translate technical concerns into clear decision-making strategies.
- Adaptability to dynamic environments and ability to handle challenging situations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to constructively challenge and debate.
- Proficiency in French and English.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict management, and proactive mindset.
