**Job Description:**
We are seeking a Senior Scientist to join our Advanced Materials Characterization and Investigations (AMCI) group within Analytical Development. As a Senior Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting experiments in the lab to characterize (in depth) particle and powder properties of active ingredients, excipients, drug product intermediates (e.g. preblends, granulates and final blends) of solid dosage forms.
**Key Qualifications:**
- PhD in Chemical (Bio)Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, or equivalent by experience in a relevant area.
- Expertise in particle sizing technologies such as Laser diffraction and Microscopy (Image analysis).
- Profound understanding of relation of particle properties to bulk behavior and processability of materials up to product quality level.
- Good knowledge on characterization approaches of powder properties (such as powder flow, shear testing, triboelectrification properties, etc.).
- Good knowledge on statistical methodologies PCA/PLS.
