Job DescriptionAs Senior Scientist Protein Sciences, you will leverage your industry experience in expression, purification, and characterization of therapeutic proteins to enhance Obulytix's discovery and development capabilities. You will optimize protein production processes, design and execute protein engineering strategies, and contribute to cross-functional project teams.
Key Responsibilities- Production and purification of lysins from microtiter plate through shake flask cultures and up to small-scale fermentation.
- Development and optimization of production and purification processes.
- Lysin characterization using standard techniques.
- Expression, purification, and QC of tool proteins for assay development.
- Development of SOPs for protein production, purification, and purity/biophysical characterization.
- PhD in a relevant biological discipline or BSc/MSc with significant (>3y) relevant industrial experience.
- Laboratory experience in an industrial setting required.
- Expertise in the design of experiments, interpretation of data, and troubleshooting is essential.
