Job Content:
- Pursue new business opportunities based on our strategic customer plan
- Secure new contracts by getting RFQs, sending quote letters, leading negotiations, and convincing customers to award new business to Punch Powertrain
- Manage customer accounts with a focus on achieving total customer satisfaction while safeguarding Punch interests
- Act as a key interface between Punch Powertrain and customers, ensuring seamless communication and coordination
- Develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels, including top management within the customer organization
- Deliver high-quality sales presentations with commercial and technical expertise
- Collaborate with internal Sales and Engineering team members to support and coordinate specific tasks; participate in project meetings to ensure commercial actions are initiated and executed effectively
- Keep the internal Punch Powertrain team informed of the latest customer developments and business opportunities; advise the team on customer targets and competitive price setting
- Organize, coordinate, and facilitate customer visits
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's or University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); proficiency in Dutch, French, and/or German is a plus
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Account Manager in the Automotive industry
- Passionate about the automotive industry
- Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Basic understanding of RFIs, RFQs, quotes, and contract negotiations
- Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain customer relationships
- Clear and professional communication skills (written & verbal)
- Confidence in delivering sales presentations and engaging with customers
- Ability to promote and explain basic product benefits to customers (training provided)
- Strong teamwork skills to work across departments
- Ability to gather and report on market trends and competitor activity
- Eager to participate in strategic planning and pricing discussions
- Frequent travel to visit customers is required
