At Walker Lovell, we are seeking a highly skilled Director of Procurement, Production to lead our mining operations in Europe. This is an exceptional opportunity to drive strategic leadership in a dynamic industry.
You will take charge of geology and mining activities across multiple European divisions, covering over 40 sites in 10 countries. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing Strategic Oversight: Reporting directly to the VP of Technical, Manufacturing & Supply Chain Europe, you will ensure that our operations align with our company's overall strategy.
- Fostering Collaboration: You will build strong partnerships with divisional heads and work closely with regional teams in a decentralized organizational structure to achieve our strategic goals.
- Representing the Company: As the Director of Mining, Europe, you will represent Walker Lovell at the regional and global levels, managing relationships with key stakeholders and external entities.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A Master's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in the mining industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French or German is a plus.
- A proven ability to navigate cultural differences and lead diverse, geographically distributed teams.
