Purchasing Specialist

Our company, Challenge Airlines (BE) S.A., is an airline based at Liege Airport (LGG), with a Belgian AOC. We operate daily scheduled cargo flights and charter services globally, carrying nonstandard goods and general cargo internationally. As part of a Global airline group, we carry approximately 400,000 tons of cargo annually.

The Procurement Officer role involves managing purchasing activities, negotiating contracts, building supplier relationships, and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective supplies while maintaining accurate records and overseeing budget estimates and invoice approvals.

Your Responsibilities

1. Negotiate pricing and supply contracts;
2. Create and maintain relationships with vendors/suppliers;
3. Work with a global team member to complete duties as needed;
4. Estimate and establish budgets for purchases;
5. Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment;
6. Review all vendors and suppliers;
7. Maintain purchase records and other important data;
8. Develop plans for purchasing services and supplies;
9. Approve invoices.

Your Profile

• A Degree in Purchasing and Logistics, Purchasing and Supply, Business Studies, Supply Chain Management, or any relevant field;
• 2-3 years experience as Procurement Officer for a Ground Handling Agreement;
• Language: Fluent in French and English required;
• Knowledge of the freight and airline industries;
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills in a multicultural setting;
• Strong contract negotiation skills;
• Goal-driven, organized, multitasking, prioritization, and time management abilities;
• Meticulous attention to detail.
