Job Description:
The Digital Arts & Entertainment curriculum at Howest University College is renowned for its exceptional game development and VFX education. As a Technical Artist, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between artists and developers.
We are seeking an artist with expertise in 2D and 3D skills to join our team. Your primary responsibilities will include teaching students about various competencies such as Photoshop, fundamentals of creating 2D graphics for games, and environment art in Unity. You will also coach students in the graphical development of their final-year Group Project.
In addition to teaching and coaching, you will contribute to the development of the DAE and IGP, taking into account market needs. This position involves collaborating with the DAE research group and maintaining connections within the curriculum.
This is a temporary one-year position that offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of digital arts education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching students about 2D and 3D skills
- Coaching students in the graphical development of their final-year Group Project
- Contributing to the development of the DAE and IGP
- Maintaining connections within the curriculum
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- C1 certificate in English or willingness to obtain one
- At least 2 years of industry experience
