Job Description

  • This position is part of our Advanced Materials Characterization and Investigations (AMCI) group, which supports the development and commercial lifecycle of pharmaceutical products.
  • The role requires expertise in particle sizing technologies, including Laser Diffraction and Microscopy (Image Analysis).
  • Responsibilities include conducting in-depth characterization of particle and powder properties, designing experiments, and collaborating with API and Drug Product teams.
  • Strong project management and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A PhD in Chemical (Bio)Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, or equivalent by experience.
  • Expertise in particle sizing technologies such as Laser Diffraction and Microscopy (Image Analysis).
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between particle properties, bulk behavior, and processability.
  • Solid knowledge of powder characterization techniques such as powder flow, shear testing, triboelectrification properties, etc.
  • Familiarity with statistical methodologies like PCA/PLS.
  • Experience in crystallization, pharmaceutical formulation, or process development is a plus.
  • Strong project management and communication skills (oral and written).
  • A team player, able to work effectively in a global matrix organization.
  • Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
