Senior Scrum Master/Agile delivery leadLocation: Brussels (Hybrid)Contract Duration: 12 months (220 days) - long-term engagementLanguages: English mandatory + French or Dutch (strong advantage)Openings: Up to 10 positions*urgent 12 month contract - role hiring now*This is a *Belgium Hybrid* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Consulting company working on *supporting large-scale, long-term transformation and application delivery programmes within a complex, highly regulated environment.*A major Belgian financial services organisation is seeking multiple Senior Scrum Masters/Agile Delivery Leads to support large-scale, long-term transformation and application delivery programmes within a complex, highly regulated environment.This is a senior, hands-on delivery role for experienced Scrum Masters who go beyond facilitation and actively own delivery outcomes. You will work closely with Product Owners, developers, architects, testers, service managers, and business stakeholders to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery aligned with Agile principles and enterprise governance.The role requires strong autonomy, delivery ownership, and the ability to operate credibly with both technical teams and senior stakeholders.Key responsibilitiesAgile delivery & Scrum mastery:Act as Scrum Master for one or more Agile squads, ensuring the effective application of Scrum and Agile practicesFacilitate Agile ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, PI Planning, and Scrum-of-Scrums where applicableEnsure teams deliver sprint commitments aligned with agreed scope, quality, and timelinesProtect teams from external distractions while maintaining effective stakeholder engagementDelivery ownership & planning:Own and track end-to-end delivery for your squad(s), including sprint planning, dependency management, and delivery milestonesTrack and report delivery metrics such as velocity, capacity, predictability, risks, and impedimentsIdentify delivery risks and issues early, propose mitigation actions, and escalate where necessaryEnsure alignment between delivery plans, technical constraints, and business prioritiesProduct owner & stakeholder support:Support Product Owners with backlog structuring, refinement, prioritisation, and Definition of DoneEnsure user stories are clear, achievable, and sprint-readyProvide transparent delivery status and reporting to stakeholders and managementChallenge assumptions constructively and promote realistic commitmentsCoaching, leadership & continuous improvement:Act as a servant leader and coach, fostering self-organisation, accountability, and continuous improvementPromote Agile best practices and contribute to Agile maturity across teams and programmesEncourage knowledge sharing, collaboration, and a culture of open feedbackMentor less experienced Scrum Masters or team members when requiredMandatory skills & experienceProfessional experience:Typically 4 to 9+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or similar roleProven experience in complex, enterprise-scale environments, preferably regulatedDemonstrated delivery ownership beyond ceremony facilitationAgile & delivery expertise:Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks and practices (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.)Experience working with cross-functional teams (development, testing, architecture, operations)Ability to manage dependencies, risks, and delivery constraintsSolid understanding of software delivery lifecycles and modern engineering practicesTooling:Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Rally, Azure DevOps, or equivalentFamiliarity with delivery metrics, reporting, and planning toolsSoft skills & mindset:Strong communication and stakeholder management skillsConfident in challenging priorities and delivery assumptions constructivelyPragmatic, solution-oriented, and quality-focusedTeam-oriented with leadership and coaching capabilityLanguage requirements:English: mandatoryFrench and/or Dutch: strong advantageNice to have:Experience in financial services or other regulated industriesExposure to ServiceNow or enterprise ITSM platformsExperience supporting large-scale transformations, change initiatives, or Target Operating Model (TOM) deliveryExposure to RPA or automation programmesExperience operating at programme or ART levelPlease send your CV or call alen to discuss further.We are an equal opportunities employment agency and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, or age.We champion differences in technology recruitment and work with clients who actively wish to diversify their talent force - all applicants are welcome to apply.
