Als Python Developer ben je betrokken bij het opzetten van onze Python-ontwikkelomgeving voor Datawarehouse-oplossingen. Je werkt aan het onderhouden van bestaande oplossingen en het ontwikkelen van nieuwe applicaties. Je test en documenteert je werk.
Je streeft er voortdurend naar om performante applicaties op te leveren die voldoen aan de hoogste normen.
Je ontwikkelt scripts op basis van een analysedocument. Je zorgt ervoor dat ze voldoen aan de standaarden die zijn opgesteld door onze architecten en dat ze de goedkeuring krijgen van de Technical Board, die garant staat voor onze technische standaarden.
Tot slot fungeer je als coach voor junior Python-ontwikkelaars en help je hen hun technische vaardigheden te verbeteren. Profiel Je hebt enkele jaren ervaring op het gebied van Datawarehousing, met een goede beheersing van de Python-taal en een bachelordiploma.
Je beschikt over diepgaande kennis van Python-ontwikkelingstacks, ecosystemen, frameworks en bibliotheken zoals Pandas, NumPy, Psycopg2, cx_Oracle, SQLAlchemy, SASPy, Pyreadstat, Dask, VAEX.
Kennis van SAS Base is niet noodzakelijk, maar wel een voordeel omdat vele van onze processen in SAS worden ontwikkeld. Er zal dus veel interactie zijn tussen onze Python- en SAS-processen.
Je bent in staat te werken met relationele databases zoals Oracle, PostgreSQL en SQL Server, evenals met bestanden (csv, Parquet, Json, Xml, …) en webservices (Rest en Soap).
Je hebt aantoonbare ervaring met performance-optimalisatie. Je toont een goed begrip van dataconcepten zoals Data Warehouse, Data Historization, Data Lake, ETL/ELT, …
Je hebt ervaring in het werken in een governance-omgeving en ervaring met potentiële conflicten tussen bibliotheken.
Je beschikt over kennis van de concepten en tools die gebruikt worden in data science en machine learning en een praktische kennis van cloudplatformen zoals AWS, Google Cloud of Azure.
Je bent op zoek naar een afwisselende en uitdagende functie. Je toont uitstekende probleemoplossende vaardigheden met sterke communicatie- en samenwerkingsvaardigheden. Je bent een teamspeler en werkt graag samen met collega's om projecten tot een goed einde te brengen. Je bent creatief en toont verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel. Je durft initiatief te nemen om kwaliteitsoplossingen voor te stellen.
