You will own significant parts of the Azure and Kubernetes estate end to end, lead technical initiatives across teams, and raise the engineering bar for the team. /p h3Job Requirements /h3 h3Must Have /h3 ul li5+ years in SRE, platform or cloud infrastructure engineering, with production ownership of business-critical SaaS systems. /li liDeep hands-on experience with Azure (networking, identity/RBAC, managed services) in production. /li liDeep hands-on experience with Kubernetes, ideally AKS, in production. /li liStrong Infrastructure as Code skills with Terraform, plus GitOps (Argo CD or similar) and CI/CD pipelines. /li liSolid observability practice (Prometheus/Grafana, Elastic/Kibana or similar) and a track record of reducing alert noise and leading incidents. /li liExperience operating managed databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), including backup and DR. /li liStrong scripting in Python, Go or Bash. /li liExperience implementing security controls in a regulated or audited environment (ISO 27001, SOC 2; GxP a plus). /li liClear written English, sound judgement on trade-offs, and the ability to lead work across teams. /li /ul h3Nice to Have /h3 ul liService mesh experience (Istio, Gateway API). /li liTemporal, Vault/External Secrets, KEDA or Trino. /li liExperience running LLM/AI platforms. /li liFinOps experience. /li liLife sciences or clinical-trial industry background. /li /ul h3Job Responsibilities /h3 h3Platform Infrastructure /h3 ul liDesign, operate and evolve the Azure and AKS foundation: networking, ingress/Gateway API (Istio), WAF, DNS, certificates and patching. /li liRun GitOps delivery with Argo CD and maintain the CI runner estate. /li liBuild and maintain Terraform modules, automated testing and validation, and self-service environment provisioning. /li /ul h3Reliability Observability /h3 ul liOwn logging, metrics and alerting, reduce alert noise and forecast capacity. /li liLead infrastructure incident response and blameless postmortems. /li liTake part in the on-call rotation. /li /ul h3Data Shared Services /h3 ul liRun managed databases and storage with robust backup/restore, disaster recovery and retention, including migrations and major version upgrades. /li liOperate shared middleware such as secret management and job scheduling. /li liRun internal engineering and AI services (LLM gateway, review and test-analysis tooling, epoxy environments), defining contracts and supporting adoption. /li /ul h3Security, Cost Leadership /h3 ul liImplement platform security controls and produce audit evidence. /li liDrive cloud cost optimisation. /li liLead cross-team technical initiatives, write design proposals and mentor engineers. /li /ul h3Job Benefits /h3 pWhat
