Experience:
8–10 years Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Storage Engineer to manage and optimize storage operations within a z/OS environment , ensuring high availability, data integrity, performance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain IBM DS8000 storage systems . Ensure high availability and reliable storage operations. Design and implement backup and recovery strategies using GDPS . Plan for future storage capacity and performance requirements. Ensure data integrity and compliance with security protocols. Collaborate with Mainframe teams and cross-functional IT stakeholders. Support the ongoing optimization and reliability of the storage environment. Required Experience & Skills 8–10 years of relevant experience. Strong experience working with Mainframe storage environments. Experience with IBM DS8000 storage systems. Knowledge of z/OS environments. Experience with GDPS backup and recovery strategies. Strong understanding of storage availability, capacity, performance, and data integrity. Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and cross-functional teams. Nice to Have Experience migrating storage infrastructure. Knowledge of REXX or Python scripting.
