This company, founded over 10 years ago, has established itself as a key player in the field of electronic repairs, specializing in smartphones and tablets. With a network of more than 80 stores and a team of 400 employees, it has built a strong reputation for its expertise and commitment to customer satisfaction.

In addition to its core business, the company is the exclusive distributor of several renowned brands of accessories and tech gadgets. It stands out for its rapid growth and ability to innovate while prioritizing its employees, putting the well-being of both its team members and customers at the heart of its operations.

As part of its expansion in Belgium, with the recent opening of its 14th store, the company is launching a new project based in Brussels. To support this development, it is actively seeking a Head of Accounting.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring accurate financial records: Oversee accounting entries, ensure the reliability of financial data, and maintain accurate financial statements.
  • Preparing financial reports: Develop balance sheets, income statements, and annual reports, providing clear and precise analyses to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborating with auditors: Work closely with internal and external auditors to ensure transparency and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations: Make sure all operations adhere to local tax and accounting regulations while staying ahead of legislative changes.
  • Managing financial closures: Coordinate teams to ensure timely and accurate monthly and annual financial closures.
  • Optimizing financial processes: Analyze current systems, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Providing financial insights: Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to deliver actionable recommendations to senior management.
Profile

Candidate Profile:

  • Educational background: A higher degree in accounting, finance, or management (bachelor's or master's level).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in an international or multi-site environment.
  • Excellent command of French, Dutch, and English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to interpret and synthesize complex financial data to support strategic decisions.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and proficiency with office tools, especially Excel.
  • In-depth understanding of Belgian and European accounting standards, as well as local tax regulations.
  • Proven experience in team management, with the ability to motivate and guide colleagues toward common goals.
  • Capacity to work autonomously while handling multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to identify and implement creative solutions to optimize financial processes.
