- Strong professional experience in Java backend development in complex IT environments
- Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework and Hibernate/JPA
- Strong experience developing REST APIs and backend services
- Good knowledge of JEE / Java EE and enterprise application development
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL and/or MySQL
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with database queries and data models
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Good knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows
- Experience with unit and integration testing, using tools such as JUnit and Mockito
- Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect and/or JWT
- Experience working with authentication and authorization mechanisms
- Experience with messaging technologies, such as Kafka or equivalent, is a plus
- Experience with WebLogic and/or other Java application servers is a plus
- Experience with API management, API gateways and API testing tools is a plus
- Knowledge of cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure or equivalent, is a plus
- Experience working with Agile methodologies
- Good understanding of software architecture, design patterns and clean coding practices
- Experience working with large-scale information systems and enterprise environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and contribute with minimal supervision
- Ability to collaborate with developers, architects, testers and business stakeholders
- Fluent English; ability to participate in a multilingual and multicultural environment

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain backend applications and services using Java and Spring
- Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices
- Analyse technical requirements and translate them into scalable and maintainable software solutions
- Develop and maintain applications using Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA and related Java technologies
- Design and implement integrations with databases, external systems and APIs
- Work with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL and/or MySQL
- Write and optimise SQL queries and support database-related development activities
- Implement authentication and authorisation mechanisms using technologies such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect and JWT
- Develop and maintain containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery processes
- Implement unit, integration and automated tests to ensure software quality
- Troubleshoot, analyse and resolve technical issues across development and integration environments
- Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with architects, developers, testers and other technical teams
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of software architecture and technical solutions
- Work with messaging and event-driven technologies such as Kafka or equivalent, when applicable
- Support the integration of backend services within large-scale enterprise information systems
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to planning, estimation and technical discussions
- Ensure that developed solutions follow security, quality and development standards
