To support our growth in Belgium, Avertim is looking for a VIE Business Manager to join our Banking & Insurance Business Team in Brussels.

As a Business Manager, you are responsible for:

Business Development

• Develop and expand a portfolio of clients within Banking, Insurance, Energy and Transport.
• Lead commercial discussions, proposals, contract negotiations and consulting sales cycles for new clients.
• Identify business opportunities, build executive relationships and generate sustainable growth.
• Promote Avertim's consulting expertise around our seven service lines.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and managers.
• Contribute to the development of new consulting offerings aligned with market trends and client challenges.

Project Delivery:

• Ensure successful project delivery regarding scope, quality, budget and client satisfaction.
• Anticipate risks and proactively implement mitigation actions.
• Oversee project follow-up with clients and foster strong collaboration between business and all the stakeholders.
• Ensure delivery excellence and long-term client value creation

Team Leadership

• Recruit, manage and develop high-potential consultants.
• Actively support career development, performance and growth management and employee engagement.
• Act as an ambassador of the company culture based on collaboration, ownership and excellence.
• Create and lead a high-performing team capable of delivering transformation projects.
• Contribute to talent attraction and retention initiatives in close collaboration with HR.

Your Background

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a consultancy firm and/or in a business development, project management or management role within the Banking, Insurance sectors.
• Eligible for a VIE contract
• A Master's Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Sciences and/or an MBA
• Fluent in Dutch and/or French and English
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset and leadership skills
• Experience in business development and commercial negotiations
• Aplus: Proven client management and relationship-building capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong commercial acumen, perseverance and ambition
• Resilient, proactive and willing to go the extra mile
