You will join a Belgian IT department of approximately 30 professionals who work closely with colleagues and external partners across multiple countries. The environment includes a mix of modern and legacy systems, requiring a pragmatic and adaptable approach to technology and architecture. Your new roleAs a Solution Architect, you play a key role in translating business needs into scalable and secure technology solutions. You work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, developers and architects to define the technical direction of projects and ensure successful implementation.
Your responsibilities include:Translating business and IT requirements into end-to-end solution designsCreating and documenting architecture and technical designsDefining the technologies, integration patterns and architectural standards to be appliedAnalysing how different applications and platforms interact within the organisationSupporting the evolution of complex application landscapesEnsuring security, quality and architectural consistency across solutionsCollaborating with business stakeholders and IT teams in Belgium and abroadGuiding development teams and providing technical leadershipAssisting in the resolution of complex technical challengesPromoting best practices related to software architecture, integration and application designYou will operate in an international environment where collaboration with both local and offshore teams is part of daily business.

Your profile
For this Solution Architect position, we are looking for an experienced IT professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills.
You ideally have:Fluency in English, combined with French or DutchAt least 8 years of relevant IT experienceA bachelor’s degree or equivalent through experienceSolid experience with Java-based environmentsStrong knowledge of API architectures, REST APIs and Swagger/OpenAPIExperience with microservices architecturesKnowledge of container platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift and DockerUnderstanding of authentication and security concepts, including OAuth2 and OpenID ConnectExperience designing application and solution architecturesThe ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience in consultancy or large international organisations is considered a strong asset. Experience within the financial sector is welcomed but not required.
