On behalf of an international player in advanced industrial and medical technology equipment, we're looking for an Automation Engineer to join their R&D team. Joining the R&D team of an international player in advanced industrial and medical technology equipment, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and project managers across the full product lifecycle — from upgrading installed systems to building new solutions from scratch and deploying them on new sites worldwide. Your Responsibilities
- Ensure the implementation, support and quality of complete control system solutions
- Document control system architecture and implementation for full traceability
- Write, execute and maintain unit test cases, and define/execute integration tests
- Develop software solutions by understanding and challenging real business needs
- Support internal teams and external customers throughout the project lifecycle
- Deploy and upgrade control systems both on customer sites and in-house
- Provide realistic estimates and respect agreed workload and deadlines
- Review colleagues' work, share your expertise, and help raise the team's standards
- Apply and question established best practices to keep improving how the team works.

Your Profile
- You hold a Master's degree in Engineering, a Bachelor's in Automation, or equivalent experience
- You bring 5 years of hands-on experience in automation development and support
- You have an analytical, critical mindset and know how to balance technical excellence with project deadlines and business strategy
- You're hands-on with PLC and Safety PLC programming (Siemens STEP7, TIA Portal, B&R)
- You're comfortable with industrial communication protocols such as Profibus-DP, PROFINET and S7
- Experience with Wonderware/InTouch SCADA is a real asset
- You produce clear, high-quality technical documentation and are fluent in French and English
- You're autonomous, self-motivated, and thrive working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- You've worked on projects within a structured, regularly audited Quality Management System
- You're open to international travel (around 20% of your time).
