pOur client, an international group active in financial services, is looking for an Accounting Manager in Brussels to lead its accounting activities and team. /pbrh2Why apply as an Accounting Manager? /h2pOur client is a stronglarge international organisation operating across multiple markets /strong, combining the stability of an established group with a modern and evolving finance environment. /ppBased at its strongBrussels corporate headquarters /strong, you will join a highly international setting where Finance works closely with senior management and other strategic departments. /ppThis is a particularly interesting opportunity for an strongAccounting Manager /strong looking for more than traditional accounting: you will combine strongtechnical accounting, team management, reporting, process improvement and business partnering /strong, while remaining close to operational topics. /ppThe environment offers strongstrong exposure, flexibility and opportunities for professional development /strong, with up to 50% homeworking. /pBR/pAs strongAccounting Manager /strong, you will take ownership of the accounting activities of several corporate entities and manage a team of 5 people. /ppYour responsibilities will include: /pulliLead the strongmonthly, quarterly and annual closings /strong, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. /liliOversee accounting activities including strongGL, AP/AR, provisions, accruals, reconciliations and journal entries /strong. /liliEnsure financial reporting in accordance with strongBelgian GAAP and IFRS /strong. /liliCoordinate the strongbudget and forecasting processes /strong and contribute to management reporting. /liliPrepare statutory accounts and coordinate with stronginternal and external auditors /strong. /liliEnsure compliance with accounting, tax, regulatory and internal control requirements. /liliManage, coach and develop a strongteam of 5 finance professionals /strong. /liliStrengthen accounting processes, procedures and the stronginternal control framework /strong. /liliDrive strongautomation, digitalisation and continuous improvement /strong initiatives within Finance. /liliCollaborate closely with other teams including strongTreasury, Tax, Consolidation, Investments and HR /strong. /liliAct as a point of contact for senior management and provide strongfinancial and technical accounting insights /strong. /liliContribute to finance projects and improvements of ERP and reporting tools. /li /ulBR/ullistrongExperience: /strong At least strong7 years of relevant experience /strong in accounting, audit or financial reporting within a structured/international environment, combined with experience managing or supervising a team.
