About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Product Owner – Cybersecurity Testing & Exposure Management to lead the development and delivery of security testing and vulnerability management services . In this role, you will combine product ownership, cybersecurity expertise, and stakeholder management to build and scale services such as penetration testing, ethical hacking programs, and exposure management solutions .
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Strategy Define and manage the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for cybersecurity testing services Translate stakeholder needs into clear requirements and prioritized initiatives Drive delivery through internal teams and external partners Penetration Testing Plan, coordinate, and oversee penetration tests across applications, APIs, and infrastructure Define scope and objectives with stakeholders Review and validate test reports (quality, risk assessment, reproducibility, remediation) Ensure proper follow-up on identified vulnerabilities Ethical Hacking & Bug Bounty Develop and manage ethical hacking initiatives (e.g., vulnerability disclosure, bug bounty programs) Coordinate vulnerability intake, triage, prioritization, and remediation Exposure Management Manage and optimize vulnerability scanning and attack surface management (ASM) solutions Ensure proper configuration, integration, and reporting Define and track KPIs/SLAs and ensure service quality Governance & Supplier Management Manage external vendors and service providers Monitor service delivery, SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards Lead RFI/RFP processes (requirements, evaluation, selection) Continuous Improvement Stay up to date with emerging cybersecurity testing techniques Introduce improvements in tools, methodologies, and processes Ensure adoption of standards such as OWASP, NIST, PTES Required Skills & Experience Core Experience Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Security Consultant Proven experience with: Penetration testing (execution or coordination) Exposure management tools (vulnerability scanners, ASM) Security process analysis, optimization, and governance Cybersecurity Expertise Strong knowledge of: Application, infrastructure, and data security Security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP, CIS Controls) Experience with industry standards for pentesting (OWASP, PTES, etc.) Certifications (Preferred) Certifications such as: CISSP, CISM, CEH or equivalent Additional Skills Experience with RFI/RFP processes and supplier selection Strong understanding of service governance (SLA/KPI management) Language Requirement Fluent in Dutch (CEFR Level C2 – mandatory) What We're Looking For Strong leadership and product ownership mindset Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Analytical, structured, and quality-driven approach Ability to operate in complex, multi-technology environments Proactive and forward-thinking in cybersecurity innovation Additional Information Start Date: May 11, 2026 End Date: July 15, 2027 Duration: Long-term assignment Remote Work: Available
