We're seeking an experienced Manager in Forensic & Financial Crime to lead complex investigations, drive strategic compliance initiatives, and protect organizations from evolving financial threats. You'll combine investigative expertise with business acumen, managing high-stakes cases while building and mentoring a talented team.
This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, commands respect from C-suite stakeholders and has a proven track record of uncovering hidden risks.
Key Responsibilities
Investigation & Case Management
- Lead end-to-end forensic investigations into fraud, embezzlement, money laundering, and financial crimes
- 2Manage complex multi-jurisdictional cases involving regulatory bodies, law enforcement, and external counsel
- 3Develop investigative strategies, coordinate evidence collection, and prepare findings for litigation or regulatory submission
- Oversee digital forensics, data analytics, and financial tracing to build compelling cases
Strategic Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Design and implement anti-fraud frameworks, financial crime controls, and compliance programs
- Conduct forensic audits and risk assessments across business units and geographies
- Advise senior leadership on emerging threats, regulatory trends, and control enhancements
- Develop policies and training to strengthen organizational resilience against financial crime
Team Leadership & Development
- Build, mentor, and manage a team of forensic specialists, investigators, and analysts
- Foster a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and ethical conduct
- Allocate resources strategically across investigations and compliance projects
- Conduct performance reviews and identify talent for advancement
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with legal, compliance, audit, and business teams to align on priorities
- Communicate investigation outcomes and recommendations to board, audit committees, and executives
- Liaise with external partners: law enforcement, regulators, external counsel, and forensic vendors
Let's talk about you
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in forensic accounting, financial crime investigation, or related field
- Advanced investigative skills: fraud detection, financial tracing, digital forensics, data analytics
- Regulatory & legal knowledge: AML/CFT, sanctions, FCPA, bribery laws, and financial crime statutes
- Leadership experience: proven ability to manage and develop teams in complex environments
- Professional credentials: CPA, CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), or equivalent forensic qualification
- Analytical excellence: strong quantitative skills and comfort with data analytics tools
- Communication: ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Big Four or top-tier forensic firm experience
- Background in law enforcement, financial intelligence, or regulatory agencies
- Expertise in sanctions, or emerging financial crime areas
- Experience with litigation support and expert witness testimony
- Knowledge of investigative software
- Dutch, French and English Speaking
