p We are constantly exploring. And have been since 1952. Driven by our passion for nuclear technology and empowered by our unique infrastructure. SCK CEN explores the limits of the possible. In this way, we continuously expand our knowledge in various nuclear fields. But no matter how many directions we explore, we always have the same goal in mind: developing innovative nuclear applications for a better world. Why? Because we are convinced that we can make a gigantic difference with one of the smallest elements on Earth – the atom. Both now and in the future. For people and nature. /p

Job description
/b Together with a team of ambitious engineers and researchers, SCK CEN aims to develop new medical radioisotopes to treat cancer patients and solve the nuclear waste issue through the MYRRHA project ( The first implementation phase of MYRRHA (commissioning scheduled to start in 2027) consists of a ˜170 m long, superconducting, high-power proton accelerator with exceptional reliability and two target facilities for research into radioisotopes, radioactive ion beam physics and nuclear fusion reactor materials. brTo help achieve these ambitious goals, we are looking for a new team member to join the “Accelerator Mechanics Group” (ACM) to follow up the design, procurement and commissioning of the RF components for the particle accelerator (RF power couplers, RF tuners, RF transmission lines, circulators, …). While some accelerator components are still being designed, others are already being procured to be ready in time for installation starting in 2027. brYou will work closely with design engineers and physicists. With the support of accelerator system experts and ATS project officers, you will: brulli follow up ongoing contracts for accelerator components, focusing on RF-related elements. /lili manage the in-house manufacturing process for selected RF components. /lili participate in test campaigns. /lili prepare and maintain documentation for assigned components. /lili take part in installation and commissioning once applicable. /lilistrong Job requirements /strong Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent. /lili more than 4 years of experience as an engineer. /lili familiarity with standardization of mechanical parts. /lili experience with high-power RF components is an asset. /lili experience in systems engineering is an additional asset. /lili familiarity with 3D CAD software (Creo, Ansys). /lili experience writing technical documentation. /lili fluent spoken and written English. /lili self-managing team player with attention to detail and a structured work approach. /li /ul Profile ul li Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent. /li li more than 4 years of experience as an engineer. /li li familiarity with standardization of mechanical parts. /li li experience with high-power RF components is an asset. /li li experience in systems engineering is an additional asset. /li li familiarity with 3D CAD software (Creo, Ansys). /li li experience writing technical documentation. /li li fluent spoken and written English. /li li self-managing team player with attention to detail and a structured work approach. /li /ul Offer p Contribute to a one of a kind project /p
