Drive your career forward as a Locomotive Engineering Manager, ensuring locomotive safety and reliability through expert maintenance and risk analysisMission As Locomotive Engineering Manager you fill in the function of Maintenance development ECM2; You respect and enforce the safety-related internal guidelines, regulations and legal requirements when carrying-out the safety critical tasks, and follow the safety-related trainings and the certification path linked to the function; You assure Locomotive safety, by ensuring that the maintenance of the assets and subparts are in full compliance with all applicable standards, laws and imposed safety goals and safeguard the accreditations imposed by the regulations; You maximise Locomotive reliability by maximising MTTE and continuously optimizing maintenance from a technical and safety point of view. Tasks As Locomotive Engineering Manager you determine the maintenance plan and/or maintenance program Locomotives, with respect for the safety and technical integrity of assets ; You perform risk analysis on locomotives maintenance development changes and/or configuration changes and /or major damages You continuously improve the maintenance activities & type of maintenance being executed based on the analysis of incidents, recurring damage and maintenance works carried out. You take ownership of the configuration management of the ECM Lineas Locomotives implying defining and following up components; You write maintenance instructions and adapt TOR documents. You manage REX meetings with respect to incidents, technical problems, recurring damages and/or executed maintenance works, with the aim to find solutions and proposals for improvement the Reliability team, even for assets for which Lineas is not the ECM, You organize and/or validate optimization and change studies and relevant changes in the technical and maintenance status of the Locomotives, from the point of view of safety and integrity You collaborate closely with the Locomotive Planning Manager and Workshop Supervision, as bi-directional communication on the maintenance plans and executed maintenance is needed to ensure the quality of the maintenance performed You sign engineering contracts with technical expertise bureaus for outsourced competences; You check the quality & completeness of data, including all technical information after maintenance or repair on ECM Lineas Locomotives and their critical components, and monitor the optimization / automation of data entry; You set up the safety-related internal guidelines, regulations and legal requirements when carrying-out the safety critical tasks, and follow the safety-related trainings and the certification path linked to the function; Profile You have 3-5 years of experience as engineer You are a subject matter expert in locomotives You have excellent problem solving and decision making skills You have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate others You have proven organizational and delegation skills You are focused on cost awareness You have excellent communication skills in Dutch or French and good knowledge of English and the other national language (Dutch/French) What do we have to offer you?
