In this role, you will lead and coordinate the accounting function for Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. You will ensure compliance with local accounting and tax standards while aligning with global financial policies. As a key finance leader in the region, you'll support the business with accurate reporting, a strong control environment, and a collaborative approach: Accounting & Compliance Supervise day-to-day accounting operations across the region, ensuring compliance with local GAAP, VAT, and tax regulations. Oversee financial closings and prepare statutory accounts in collaboration with local advisors and external auditors. Maintain fixed asset records, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals. Ensure accuracy in payroll-related accounting entries and intercompany transactions. Act as the primary contact for local authorities on financial and tax matters. Reporting & Group Coordination Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and ensure timely group reporting under IFRS. Coordinate with group finance teams to align local reporting with global consolidation requirements. Support the deployment of financial systems and tools and ensure the accuracy of data within ERP platforms. Team Leadership & Collaboration Manage and coach a team of accountants. Foster collaboration across departments and with external stakeholders (advisors, auditors, tax specialists). Represent the regional accounting function internally and externally, building trust with HQ and local partners. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar; professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus. At least 5-7 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a multinational or B2B2C environment. Fluent in English; working knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a strong asset. Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and advanced Excel skills. Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage people and processes across borders. Rigorous, structured, and able to work both independently and in cross-functional teams.
