Elia speelt een vooraanstaande rol in de ontwikkeling van elektriciteitsmarkten, de bevordering van de toegang ertoe en de oprichting van ondersteunende diensten om de veiligheid, efficiëntie en betrouwbaarheid van het net te garanderen. Binnen het departement "Market - Grid and Offshore Concepts" is het team Belgian System Concepts verantwoordelijk voor de ontwikkeling van marktmechanismen en op flexibiliteit gebaseerde oplossingen om het hoofd te bieden aan netbeperkingen zoals congestie en spanningscontrole.

Om de ambitieuze doelstellingen op het vlak van decarbonisatie te halen, impliceert de energietransitie een massale integratie van hernieuwbare energiebronnen en de elektrificatie van industriële processen. Elia neemt al jaren het voortouw in de evolutie van het marktontwerp om de deelname van alle bronnen, zoals decentrale flexibiliteit, ook op residentieel niveau aan elektriciteitsmarkten en balanceringsmarkten te vergemakkelijken.

Daarnaast, om de hernieuwbare energiebronnen te integreren en aan te sluiten en de elektrificatie van de belasting mogelijk te maken, moet Elia op tijd een robuust en geschikt elektriciteitsnet in België ontwikkelen dat streeft naar een technisch-economisch optimum voor de samenleving. Om dit optimum te bereiken, wil Elia de juiste verhouding van netversterkingen voorstellen in combinatie met het gebruik van innovatieve flexibiliteitsoplossingen.

Daartoe ontwikkelt Elia een visie om flexibiliteit in het systeem te integreren die afkomstig is van alle soorten technologieën op alle spanningsniveaus en die het mogelijk zal maken het optimum te bereiken. Deze visie zal evoluties in het marktontwerp impliceren, evenals de ontwikkeling van nieuwe flexibiliteitsproducten en verbeteringen van bestaande producten. Ons team is verantwoordelijk voor het onderzoeken van de uitdagingen en het voorstellen en implementeren van innovatieve oplossingen in de komende maanden en jaren.

Als Electricity Market Expert ontwikkel je de visie van Elia op het vlak van marktontwerp, product- en contractontwikkeling en werk je mee aan de implementatie van deze visie. Je bestudeert marktmechanismen, neemt deel aan of leidt productontwikkelingsprojecten en werkt samen met stakeholders (bv. overheden, regulatoren, distributienetbeheerders (DNB's), marktspelers).

Hieronder vind je een aantal van de taken van het team. Op basis van jouw sterktes en ervaring, neem je een aantal van deze taken op jou, zodat jouw verantwoordelijkheden gevarieerd, maar samenhangend zijn.

Identificeren, analyseren en definiëren hoe marktmechanismen en ondersteunende diensten evolueren, rekening houdend met alle relevante aspecten (bv. regelgevende kaders, budgetten en tarieven, technische en operationele impact). Deze design evoluties vertaal je in een degelijk en duidelijk design document Regelmatig overleggen en samenwerken met DNB's om flexibiliteitsbronnen in hun systemen te integreren. Regelmatig communiceren met de Belgische regulatoren en de stakeholders. Hiertoe Elia's voorstellen voorbereiden en presenteren en externe vergaderingen ondersteunen.  In staat zijn om relevante regelgeving te interpreteren (lopende en evoluties van Europese, Belgische federale en regionale kaders) en de coherentie van ons voorgestelde ontwerp hiermee te analyseren in samenwerking met interne experts. Uitrollen van (delen van) projecten door op te treden als projectmanager of expert in relevante aspecten (bijv. marktmodel, operationele impact, contractuele en juridische wijzigingen, IT-ontwikkelingen).

Jouw profiel

Je hebt een universitair diploma van burgerlijk ingenieur of handelsingenieur (master of doctoraat) Ervaring met de energiesector en de werking van elektriciteitsmarkten is noodzakelijk. Je begrijpt hoe het elektriciteitssysteem en de elektriciteitsmarkt werken, wat betekent dat je eventuele belemmeringen snel kunt identificeren en interpreteren. Bekendheid met onderwerpen zoals congestiebeheer, ondersteunende diensten, rol en verantwoordelijkheden van de BRP, BSP, FSP is een pluspunt. Je hebt uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden (zowel mondeling als schriftelijk), waardoor je vlot contact kan leggen met jouw stakeholders en ontwerpnotities, regelgevende en contractuele documenten kunt opstellen. Je bent in staat om diepgaande (economische en/of technische) analyses uit te voeren. Je bent georganiseerd, verantwoordelijk en werkt autonoom, maar ook in nauwe samenwerking en interactie met collega's of externe partijen. Ervaring met projectbeheer is een pluspunt. Een zeer goed niveau van Engels (gesproken en geschreven) is essentieel. Je spreekt vloeiend Frans of Nederlands en hebt een goede kennis van de andere taal.
