What you do

Joining Allianz Partners means you will join a world leading B2B2C specialist forming part of the Allianz Group, one of the world's largest insurance and financial services group. The structure of our organization means you will be working in an international environment, working closely with a network of local and global colleagues to drive finance excellence across Benelux.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Finance Director to join Allianz Partners as the Finance Director - Benelux.

As the Finance Director – Benelux you will have a broad remit across the finance function, wider organization and sub-region, having ultimate accountability over our internal and external reporting deliverables as well as the overall financial health of the Benelux sub-region. Within the sub-region, you will oversee financial matters of several legal entities / branches across the Netherlands and Belgium.

Working closely with the leads of the wider finance function, i.e. Accounting & Reporting, Planning & Controlling and the Finance Centre of Excellence, you will play a pivotal role in driving the ongoing transformation activities across the sub-region.

You will act as a Finance business partner, you will also be collaborating closely with the lines of business, including sales, underwriting and actuarial whilst supporting the Benelux Managing Director in the successful execution of the overarching strategy.

  • Supporting the Benelux Managing Director in the delivery of the sub-region's ambitious growth targets by developing and executing the strategic direction;
  • Ultimate accountability for the monthly and quarterly financial closing governance, heavily supported by the sub-regional finance teams;
  • Collaborate closely with underwriting, sales and the line of business teams to secure the financial health of the sub-region, ensuring profitable growth across all segments;
  • Drive the Group Finance strategy across the sub-region, supporting the transformation activities across all aspects;
  • Ensure smooth and efficient collaboration with external bodies, such as external auditors, regulators or tax administrations;
  • Lead the "OneTeam" culture across the Benelux finance teams, lead by example and drive excellence across the wider sub-region.

What you bring

  • 10+ years of finance experience, ideally with significant experience in the insurance industry;
  • Strong commercial business partnering capabilities and experience;
  • Need to be able to be present in Amsterdam at least 2 days per week, ideally 3 with frequent travel (once a month / every other month) to Brussel;
  • Pro-active and not afraid to challenge the status quo;
  • Professional approach and delivery of work product;
  • Energy, enthusiasm, persistence and adaptability;
  • Ability to influence and lead others;
  • Focus on timely delivery of quality outputs;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and diplomatic skills;
  • Fluent English, any regional languages would be a plus;
  • Positive energy and can-do attitude in a global organization.
