Think of electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, generators, steam turbines, turbo compressors, reciprocating compressors, and expanders. This work can be carried out either on-site at the customer’s location or at one of our facilities.Chart Industries is represented in more than 40 countries and employs over 11,700 people.As a Service Technician, you will go on-site to overhaul machines at the customer’s location. If more extensive maintenance is required, you will be responsible for disassembling the machine so that the maintenance or repair can be carried out in the workshop. After the maintenance or repair, you will reassemble the machine at the customer’s site.What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…You overhaul all types of (electro)mechanical equipment such as compressors, turbines, and pumps.During disassembly, you will measure the machine, dismantle it, and prepare it for transport.After the overhaul or repair in the workshop, you will reinstall the machine on-site, align it, and bring it back into operation.While disassembling and assembling the installation, you will handle tasks such as fitting, aligning, determining clearances, final assembly, and possibly installing new equipment.
