We currently have a vacancy for an Application/Cloud Architect fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the companys premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major clients IT team on site.

Your tasks

  • Definition of architecture and data governance;
  • Propose systems, components and/or services architecture software products and standards;
  • Preparation of Analytics architecture which satisfy the requirements and support future needs for following releases;
  • Creation and maintenance of software architecture documents;
  • Management of the implementation of IT capability delivery according to business functional and non-functional requirements: follow up of IT contractors, review of documents, organization of business acceptance tests, workshops, etc;
  • Development and maintenance of the design of the system fulfilling the business requirements and non-functional requirements (volume, scalability, stability, confidentiality, security, integrity, availability and usability)
  • Creation of the designs and blueprints of Cloud Architecture;
  • Coordination with the projects' various stakeholders;
  • Reporting of the activitys status (tasks progress, plan, actions, risks, issues, decisions, changes, etc.);
  • Assistance with the review cycles and project documents, including both functional and technical, system and application architecture documents.
Requirements
  • University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 14 years of relevant working experience in IT;
  • Excellent knowledge in microservices and architecture in the cloud;
  • Excellent knowledge in applications design and Enterprise Architecture;
  • Excellent knowledge of the programming languages;
  • Excellent knowledge of the network protocols;
  • Excellent knowledge of XML, HTML, JSON;
  • Excellent knowledge of central high-availability systems, big data and analytics solutions;
  • Excellent knowledge of software delivery project management in large organisations;
  • Good knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns;
  • Good knowledge of Relational DBMS;
  • Good knowledge of interoperability technology (web services, message oriented middleware, service oriented bus, event architecture);
  • Good knowledge of the public sector processes and business knowledge of customs processes;
  • Good knowledge of security aspects: system security and data security;
  • Good knowledge of systems and tools like: Oracle, SAP, Dataiku, Denodo, Kafka, Superset, LDAP;
  • Good knowledge of project management methodologies and service management;
  • Good knowledge of machine learning platforms would be an asset;
  • The following certifications are required: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Apache Kafka certification, TOGAF or any other architecture framework;
  • Excellent command of the English language, while fluency in French would be considered an asset.
